MY 2010’S LISTS OF 10 BEST MOVIES (2)
Being not very much different, this is my personal choice on this year’s 10 best movies. Catch it while you can!
Nolan at his most innovative mindfuck multilayers, explosive action, eyepopping sets and effects, unexplainable ending, puzzling details, and stars. I mean, Stars!
2. BLACK SWAN
Beauty. Madness. Ballet. Absurdity. Aronofsky. Portman & Kunis hot scene. Top notch acting. Total Art!
3. THE SOCIAL NETWORK
Facebook history, friendship, college, money, girls, courtrooms, and lots of talks. Values!
Pure Hitchcockian claustrophobic to the max, Ryan Reynold’s intense one-man show, and a real shocking ending. You won’t get something like this even over a decade!
5. THE MILLENIUM TRILOGY (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE, THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET’S NEST)
Lisbeth Salander, Hair, Noomi Rapace goes to the top, goryness, journalistic, social and politic sarcasm, Swedish’ dream of huge franchise and Hollywood remake. Heroine wears casual, this is. BIG heroine.
6. HARI UNTUK AMANDA
‘Santai Kaya Di Pantai, Slow Kaya Di Pulau’ Just mesmerized at the simplicity that wrapped to an Indonesian romance at its most beauty.
7. THE TOWN
Heist movie’s cliché, effective Affleck’s directing, Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner’s scene-stealing performance, the chase, and perfect casts. Classic!
8. SHUTTER ISLAND
Another Leonardo DiCaprio’s smashing mindfuck psychological thriller, Martin Scorcese’s directing, and again, incredible cast, puzzling details with unexplainable ending. Breathless.
Told ya this is personal. With big names of casts who didn’t trying to act but just having their wildest fun, this is cult movie at its most classic. And casting Danny Trejo as the main hero even his hot scenes with Alba, Rodriguez and Lohan all in a row? Looks not as bad as his looks, since Trejo is ready to re-live Charles Bronson’s persona in his many coming soon projects. You’ll puke, but funly puke.
Having what Watchmen did last year but for quite different efforts in superhero area, I couldn’t help considering it as anything but a complete and deep exploration of the genre. Fun, g(l)ory and hip!
